Downtime
Downtime following cheek augmentation depends on the method used. For injectable fillers, downtime is minimal, with most patients experiencing only mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites, which typically resolves within a few days. Normal activities can usually be resumed immediately, although minor tenderness or swelling may persist for up to two weeks. Most patients are able to return to light activities after a week, but full recovery and the final contour of the cheeks may take several weeks as swelling gradually subsides. Bruising, tightness, or numbness in the cheek area may also occur but generally resolves as healing progresses.
